Community Cleanup events provide an opportunity for people to dispose of residential items that do not fit in their waste and recycling carts, and to support those who do not have access to cart service.

Events are managed and run by community volunteers with the support of The City of Calgary.

We need volunteers to help make this event run as smoothly as possible! Please contact us to volunteer June 6, 2026.

Due to capacity, organizers may impose cut-offs to lines prior to the event end time. For example, an organizer may cap the line at 1 p.m. so queued vehicles may dispose of waste prior to the 2 p.m. event closing time. In this instance, some residents waiting in line would be turned away at the discretion of organizers. Aggressive behavior or abuse of volunteers/organizers will not be tolerated.

• On-site document shredding

• Electronic recycling

• Metal recycling

NOT ACCEPTED:

• Tires

• Paint cans or chemicals

• Propane tanks

• Fridges or freezers
