Borehole Drilling in Big Marlborough Park
NOTICE: Borehole Drilling in Big Marlborough Park - DATES TBC, subject to weather
The City will be completing to support future improvements in Big Marlborough Park.
This work is expected to take place this month, during daytime hours.
Crews from Lone Pine Geotechnical will drill boreholes throughout the park, to collect samples to better understand current soil conditions. The boreholes will be filled in after sampling is complete.
During this work, you may notice Lone Pine contractors and their drilling rig in the park. They will display a Parks Access Application form and ensure site safety. The drilling rig may create some noise, but it is expected to stay at a reasonable level and should not disrupt staff or students. Any vibrations are expected to be minor and unlikely to be noticeable inside the school building.
To help reduce potential impacts, they plan to complete the drilling locations near Dr. Egbert and the Marlborough Park Community Association after 3 p.m. on school days.
Safety is the top priority. The team will redirect anyone approaching an active work area, to help ensure they stay a safe distance from equipment and machinery.
The Big Marlborough Park Project Team thanks you for your understanding and cooperation.
