Mustard Seed Community Impact Centre

Did you know that our community is home to a Mustard Seed Community Impact Centre?

Their focus is on assisting Calgarians experiencing houselessness, and providing help to others to prevent loss of housing and poverty.

Services available at this location include employment coaching, English classes, computer training, counselling for those over age 14, and advocacy (including but not limited to: assistance with government forms and tax returns).

The centre, located in Madigan Plaza, has free Wifi, and offers in-center use of laptops and a sewing machine (sewing instruction not provided).

Every August, the Mustard Seed CIC in Marlborough Park runs a Back 2 School stuff a backpack campaign, providing kids with the essentials they need for the upcoming school year. This year's event will be on August 21, and the aim is to provide backpacks and clothing for 250 children.

Area residents seeking resume and cover letter assistance, or interview coaching are encouraged to book an appointment with the Mustard Seed's employment volunteer, though walk-in meetings may be available from time-to-time.
